avec une histoire assez spécial, encore une fois
(recu neuf a Moncton aux Nouveau Brunswick aux Canada )
August/September 1966
Cougar 1 is "loaned" to the dealer principal of Dryden Motors (the then, oldest Lincoln-Mercury dealer in Canada) in Moncton, New Brunswick, by Lee Iaccoca, ostensibly to alleviate difficulties caused the dealer by delayed delivery of his ordered Cougars.
Late 1966
The dealer, still dissatisfied with Lincoln-Mercury's delivery of his Cougar order, refuses to return Cougar 1. The dealer cannot sell Cougar 1 because the factory had not given him the MSO (manufacturer's statement of origin), the initial title.
Early 1967
The dealer puts Cougar 1 into a 3-year closed-end lease, which denied the lessee any ownership interest in the vehicle, and required its return at the end of the term.
Late 1969
The car is returned to the dealership, just short of its due-date, where it is driven periodically by the dealer principal, and later stored on an upper floor of the dealership.
Mid-1977
The dealer principal of Dryden Motors dies. His son applies to Lincoln-Mercury to become an authorized dealer (personal service contract required, not a franchise), but is rejected.
Mid-1978
The son, as trustee of his father's estate, files bankruptcy on behalf of the dealership company and the bankruptcy court in Canada sues Lincoln-Mercury to obtain title (MSO) to Cougar 1.
Mid-1979
Having prevailed in the lawsuit, the bankruptcy trustee sells the assets of the dealership, among them, Cougar 1. A local hardware dealer, Dale Garland, the uncle of a former dealership employee, purchases the vehicle at the auction .
Late-1979 to Mid-1982
Dale and his son drive Cougar 1 around Moncton, making some minor repairs and reconditioning some items, including repainting the car the original red color. By early 1982 they decide to try to sell the car.
May 1982
Cars & Parts magazine carries a small box advertisement in its classified's section offering for sale 'The first Cougar off the assembly line." This ad produces several phone calls. Pictures of the car are sent to several people. No one ever comes to look at the car. Dale and his son put the car into a Quonset hut that they rent, covering it with a tarp.
Mid-December 1992
Marc Ogren of Renton, WA, a member ofthe Cascade Cougar Club, purchases a used copy of Cars & Parts magazine, dated May, 1982, in order to obtain a feature article on a '38 Lincoln-Zephyr Coupe (Marc also owns such a vehicle). Marc happens across the box ad put in by Dale Garland. Eventually Marc tracks Dale down (Dale had in the intervening decade retired and sold his hardware store), and finds out that Cougar 1 still exists, resting peacefully in storage. Dale sends Marc some pictures, and they begin a very general negotiation. Meanwhile, Marc does not mention anything about this to anyone (who can blame him?).
March 2, 1993
Marc learns that Jim Pinkerton, fellow Cascade Cougar Club member, is on a business trip, and is actually in Moncton, New Brunswick. Marc contacts Jim by telephone and Jim inspects Cougar 1, providing Marc with detailed information on the condition of the car, and verifYing its authenticity.
June, 1993
Marc negotiates the purchase price over the phone, flies to Moncton, drives Cougar 1 to Boston, and has the car shipped to his house in Renton, WA. It arrives during the 3rd week ofJuly.
April 1994
Marc approaches Jim and Elaine Pinkerton about purchasing Cougar 1. Basically, Marc chooses not to restore Cougar 1 himself because, while the car deserves a full concours restoration, Marc does not want a car he couldn't (shouldn't) drive. Jim and Elaine purchase Cougar 1 from Marc.
May 1994
Jim Pinkerton begins a protracted discussion with Lincoln-Mercury about possible sponsorship for the restoration of the car, in anticipation of its 30th anniversary in 1997.
March 1996
Lincoln-Mercury informs Jim Pinkerton that they are NOT going to tie their new Cougar products to the historical Cougars (in other words they are not going to do what Mustang did); rather they are going to revise the platform and put emphasis on a different market segment. Therefore no factory support ofthe restoration will be forthcoming
April 1996
Jim and Elaine, working with John Benoit of Cascade Classics, make the decision to self-fund the full restoration of Cougar 1.
Late-May 1997
Cougar 1 restoration completed 2 hours before the enclosed transport arrives to carry it to the All Ford 30th Anniversary of the Cougar, Cougar Club of America East National Show at Carlisle, PA (June 6-8, 1997).

The Camaro is chassis number 1, the first Camaro built at the Van Nuys factory in 1970. It has been given a comprehensive restoration and finished in Classic White paint. There is a black vinyl roof, and blue vinyl interior. Power is from its original 350 cubic-inch 250 horsepower 'NN' engine with the original 350 Turbo HyrdaMatic automatic transmission. The list of options found on this car includes air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, console, tinted glass, white letter tires, five convenience lamps plus the light group, pushbutton radio, windshield antenna, clock, custom seats, and deluxe interior.
Its early life was spent as a regional courtesy car in the Chevrolet fleet.

As far as pilot cars go, GM's records say that 17 pilot cars were made...all at Norwood, and they had VINs 100001-100017.

M's records say that L500001 was produced the first week of January.
In all, Chevrolet built 1,936,869 second-generation Camaros, which makes the very first one an important automobile. Chevy had two production lines, and this car-L500001-was built in Van Nuys, California. It is the first of one of the longest lines of sports cars ever built. The other production line at Norwood, Ohio, is characterized with the prefix "N."
white with a black vinyl roof and blue interior. It's powered by its original 350-ci, 250-hp "NN" V8 with a 350 Turbo Hydramatic auto transmission. The original assembly sheet was salvaged and the car has its original options-air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, console, tinted glass, white letter tires, convenience lamps, pushbutton radio, windshield antenna, clock, custom seats, and deluxe interior.
Records indicate this Camaro Sport Coupe was originally a courtesy car in the regional test fleet, and it's sure to be welcome at both concours and Chevrolet events as a centerpiece.

La première Firebird 1969 construite a Van Nuys Californie
223379L100001
This 1969 Pontiac Firebird Two-Door Sport Coupe is serial number 00001, making it the very first of a very long list of pony cars, muscle cars, pace cars, television and movie cars, and limited and special edition cars that would come, all wearing the name Firebird. The car was sent to California dealer, Nelson Pontiac, in Van Nuys. It was to be used as a show car and touring piece, but it was never turned back into Pontiac, and the dealer kept it for himself.
The car was well equipped with a new 400 cubic-inch motor, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, tilt column with simulated wood steering wheel, five spoke Rally II wheels, red line tires, remote trunk release, shoulder harness belts, headrests, gauges with clock, and intermittent wipers all in a deluxe interior.
The car is painted in Verdoro Green over black, and retains the correct original numbers matching engine and transmission. It has a recent restoration with only about 1,150 miles on the odometer since the work was completed.
In 2009, this Firebird Sport Coupe was offered for sale at the Houston Classic Auction in Seabrook, Texas, presented by Worldwide Auctioneers. The car was estimated to sell for $70,000 - $90,000. It failed to sell after reaching a high bid of $50,000.

1957 Chevrolet Corvette E57S100001 a E57S106339 donc 6339 de produit all convertibles et de ce nombre 1,040 were fuel-injected
1957 Chevrolet Corvette (1412) -Serial Number E57S100001
The First High Performance Corvette
Like its 1956 counterpart, 1957 SN001 was fully optioned assembly prototype built to test the efficacy of production processes. Built on or about August 9, 1956, it was the first production Corvette equipped with the new 283ci engine. The block, dated July 19, 1956, is one of approximately 20 blocks cast that month. The heads are 1956 #762 castings dated July 20, 1956, the #997 versions yet to be produced. The dual quad carburetors, exhaust manifolds, choke tube and ignition shields are late 1956, as are the starter and several other components.
The car was fortuitously discovered circa 1968 by NCRS Technical Chairman Sam Folz, who had been asked by its young owner, a local college student named Roger Schrock, to help sove a water leak problem. Folz invited Schrock to bring the car to him, and it was while he was checking information in his copy of the Corvette Body Service Operations Manual (August, 1957 and May, 1960 Editions) that he realized its VIN matched that of the car in the Service Manual: it was E57S1000001, the first production Corvette of 1957!

http://www.legendarycollectorcars.com/museum/1969-ford-talladega/
This 1969 Ford Talladega is a very special part of history. IT IS THE VERY FIRST FORD TALLADEGA OFF THE REGULAR PRODUCTION ASSEMBLY LINE. IT IS THE FIRST TALLADEGA TO CARRY A REGULAR TALLADEGA VIN! Talladegas were built along side regular Torinos and Fairlane so it is not VIN 000001 but is the first VIN in the Talladega production line. Of course this excludes prototypes and pilot cars never intended for sale to the public. This car has an interesting history from what we have been able to piece together. Its existence today is completely due to the foresight of Michael Ratterree of SC who found this car virtually abandoned in a field. He intended on stealing the drive train for another project but realized after some research that was not the best route for this piece of history. Instead he lovingly and meticulously restored this car to a terrific show/driver quality. (He received a Best In Show at a meet in Darlington soon after its completion.)
In November of 2007 Ford thought this Talladega was a Mustang Cobra!
By December, with help, they realized they did make a Talladgea in 1969 and this car is one! They did this same thing on two other Talladegas we own.

Looking at this Camaro, you might not immediately recognize that it is anything special. After all, there are countless Z/28, RS and SS versions scattered in every corner of Westworld this week. And as far as powerplants go, this has but a 275hp 327 V8. No slouch certainly, but with ZL-1, COPO, 302 and 396 options aplenty, the 327 doesn't really stand out that much. It even has an automatic. So what makes this one noteworthy? First of all, note that it's a 1967 model. That was the first year for Chevy's answer to the Mustang. And then take a look at the VIN. It's number 16. It's also Fisher body #001. THE first production Camaro. It goes without saying that it also happens to be the first L.A. built car with the deluxe interior. These are the kind of things that the specialists pay attention to. The seller is billing it as the lowest surviving VIN. We're not sure if that means all 15 cars that preceded it are gone, or that they were all prototypes, but it is certainly one of the earliest Camaros ever made, and quite a sharp looking car to boot. Classic Ermine White exterior with Red Deluxe interior that looks factory fresh.

About our Car: This is Mustang serial number one. It was sold to Stanley Tucker of St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada on April 14, 1964, Captain Stanley Tucker unknowingly owned Mustang #1 for nearly two years before Ford "bought" the car back from him with more than 10,000 miles of duty on Canadian roads - the car has been driven minimally since.
Captain Stanley Tucker poses with Ford executives who swapped the millionth Mustang with him for Mustang #1 with 10,633 miles on the odometer.

La première Mustang vendu aux public
00212
We guarantee, as per our research, that Mustang 100212 is the first Mustang to be issued a VIN number for retail sale on March 9, 1964, the first day of Mustang production at the Dearborn Assembly Line.
Mustang Convertible 100212 was sold at Powell Ford in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The dealership delivered the Mustang on the evening of the 16th, even though the official first day of sale was the 17th. That makes this Mustang Convertible also the first Mustang sold to the public! Among the extensive documentation is the original Internal Bill of Sale, which indicates on the bottom "Retail Delivery 4/16/64." and is initialed by the Sales Manager. Therefore, this vehicle is not only the first scheduled Mustang intended for sale to the public, but also the first Mustang sold to the public.
The car was delivered with the following options: Wimbleton White- Base 260 2V V8 Engine- Cruise-O-Matic Transmission- Rally Pac- Power Brakes- Power Steering- Power Convertible Top- Padded Visors- Back Up Lights- Heavy Duty Battery- Full Length Console- Tinted Windshield- Pushbutton Radio and Antenna- Rocker Panel Mouldings- Wheel Covers Deluxe with Spinners- Magic Aire Heater Delete and Credit- Seat Belt Delete and Credit- White Wall Tires- Outside Mirrors (2)__Compass- Inside Day- Night Mirror 2 Spd Electric Wiper and Washer
