10 juin 2012 - Cedarville - ETVAC Show 'N Shine (28e édition)

The Eastern Township Vintage Automobile Club (ETVAC) will hold its twenty-eighth annual “Show & Shine” car exhibit on Sunday, June 10. This is an open show for both antique cars and motorcycles.
Last year approximately fifty-five cars were on display at the show. Mike Haddon, this year’s president is hoping that sunny weather will help bring out more cars. A prize will be awarded for the best shown car. Door prizes for the public will be awarded throughout the day.
The ETVAC was established in 1977 by teachers from Alexander Galt High School. Ownership of an antique car is not needed to become a member.
The dues are $15 for the year and anyone from the Eastern Townships can join. However, meetings take place every few months in Lennoxville. The last meeting was held in the basement of Sebby’s Pub & Grill last Tuesday, June 5.
“Again this year we are counting on the support of local businesses to become proud sponsors of this activity, allowing us to proudly publicize their business.
Executives Mike Haddon, Allen Sharman, James Andrews and Lawrence Cox work very hard organizing this event and need everyone’s support,” says member Bruce Gillam.
Various items are donated from local businesses for the door prizes along with funds to help pay the fees of the location. All proceeds that are raised go to a charitable organization.
Every Tuesday, during the summer months, the ETVAC have a cruise night, which is open to the public, at the St. Andrew’s Church in Lennoxville.
The show will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Weirs Beach, 2495 Cedarville Road, in Ogden.
There’s a $10 entry fee for each vehicle that is to be shown.
